This is my final magazine front cover. First I had the background white but after looking at it I decided it would have been to bland and simple. So I therefore decided to change the backgroun to a very light sliver just give it that added effect.

This was my film poster magazine mock. When creating the final poster i decided to change some of the way i had designed it, just because i felt it looked better some aspects of it being in a different place, for example the review, i moved from the bottom to the middle on the left.


This was my first draft of my film poster, as you can see i changed the font because we chose to have the same font as the font used in our film so it connects each media piece.

Our Trailer (The Music)

Choosing the music to any trailer is vital, especially to get it correct; but when choosing the music for a horror trailer it is even more crucial because music is such a huge aspect in a horror movie.

First we chose a soundtrack from "The Grudge" we thought that the eery music went well with what the group was trying to create, but because the music had to repeat itself part way through the trailer we opted for something different as not all members of the group were happy with the flow of the trailer with the music

After much dispute over what soundtracks to use we finally came to a group agreement when choosing our final music choice. We opted for a soundtrack from the film "28 weeks later" We felt that this music soundtrack portrayed what we needed to get across to the audience, and we all thought it flowed better with the trailer.

Our Trailer (Production Logs)

Unfortunately our group did not stick to the production schedule set, i couldn't make two of the filming sessions because i was unwell. This production log also shows the scenes we used and the scenes we did not. This also shows the shot types used and actors, props and what scene was filmed.

Our Trailer (Location permission)

Whilst filming our trailer we had to get permission to film in some of the locations. For scenes of the film where in public locations there-fore we did not need to get permission to film there.
We did however need to get permission off

• Costa Coffee
• The house owner
• The reverend at the graveyard

Getting permission:

• The house we used was fortunately my house so i asked my parents and they gave us the permission to film in any room of the house.
• In Costa Coffee, we decided to film outside because the noise level was louder inside than outside, so therefore we did not need to get permission as it was not inside the Costa premises.

• For the grave yard, I took it to email the reverend and ask his permission if we could film in the graveyard and also use two grave stones, we came to an agreement where by we were only allowed to use the back of two gravestones. The email is situated below.

Our Trailer (Locations not used)

This is a bathroom that we were originally going to use, we were going to steam up the bathroom and write on the mirror or put a hand print on the glass. We did not use this location because it was too hard to see the writing in the mirror.

Our Trailer (Rooms used)

There are many different locations we used in our trailer.

The maghull train station, we chose this because we felt it fitted in with the style of genre/filming that we were looking for.

We asked the attendent that was duty if it was ok for us to film she gave us verbal permission on the basis that we did not film any passengers of Merseytravel. Costa Coffee in Ormskirk we used for a scene in our trailer and it was good because it is a quiet area so we knew that we would not have a lot of outside noise. The cafe is very authentic and we felt that it would fit our trailer
Again we were legally required to gain permission to film there, we spoke to the manager of the cafe and she gave us permission to film there, she was also happy to sigh our contributor's release form.
St Andrews Church in Maghull was an ideal location as it is dark, erie atmosphere fitted in with the genre of our trailer We had to legally ask permission to film on the grave yard, I sent an email explaining the reason we needed to film there and what were filming. We got a response allowing us to film there.
